The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has issued an open tender for the installation of rooftop solar power systems at its campus. The tender, published on December 17, 2025, aims to set up a total capacity of 1.4 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems under the RESCO mode. The project will be implemented as an empanelment-based contract and falls under the goods category, with solar power plants listed as the main product category.

According to the tender details, the selected bidder will be responsible for the complete scope of work. This includes the design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop solar PV systems. In addition, the contractor will also provide warranty coverage along with operation and maintenance services for the installed capacity. The tender process does not require any tender fee, and no exemption is allowed for the same. However, bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of ₹10 million. The EMD can be submitted through a bank guarantee or security deposit, and exemptions are allowed as per the tender conditions. The EMD is payable to the General Manager at RIMS.

The bid validity period for this tender has been fixed at 270 days. While the total tender value has not been disclosed, the project is expected to support RIMS in reducing its dependence on conventional power sources and lowering electricity costs through the use of solar energy.

The document download and sale period will begin on December 18, 2025, and end on January 17, 2026. Bid submission will open on December 29, 2025, and close on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The bids are scheduled to be opened on January 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at RIMS Imphal.
