Rajasthan Discoms marked a proud milestone after being conferred the “Gold Award” for excellent performance under the PM-KUSUM scheme, specifically under Component C for Feeder Level Solarization. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Power Minister, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar ji, during an event organized by the All India Discom Association (AIDA) at its first Annual Meeting held in Delhi. The award was received on behalf of Rajasthan Discoms by the Chairman of Discoms, Arti Dogra, IAS.

Rajasthan has made strong progress in solarization under PM-KUSUM, with a total installed capacity of 2,877 MW so far under Components A and C. This includes 1,307 decentralized solar plants commissioned across the state. Under Component C alone, Rajasthan has already commissioned 2,333 MW through 899 plants. The state is now working towards an ambitious target of 5,018 MW by the end of this year.

Officials highlighted that this achievement has been possible due to regular monitoring at the Rajasthan Government level and effective leadership from the Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Government of Rajasthan, Ajitabh Sharma, IAS, along with Chairman Discoms Arti Dogra, IAS. The recognition is expected to further strengthen Rajasthan’s efforts in expanding solar power and improving power supply through feeder-level solarization.
