Founder Group Limited, a regional clean-energy specialist in Malaysia, has announced that it has secured an EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) contract valued at approximately RM16 million (US$4.14 million). The contract covers the development of a 25.40 MW large-scale solar project, marking another significant step in the company’s expanding renewable-energy portfolio.

The new project falls under Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme, also known as the CGPP. This initiative, backed by the government, is designed to accelerate corporate decarbonization efforts by promoting Virtual Power Purchase Agreements and encouraging companies to adopt large-scale solar solutions. Through this programme, businesses gain access to renewable energy while contributing to the country’s long-term sustainability ambitions.

Under the awarded contract, Founder Group will handle the full scope of work required for the solar PV facility. This includes equipment supply, civil and structural work, testing, commissioning and the construction of interconnection systems. Once operational, the project is expected to generate around 53,000 MWh of clean energy each year. This output could help offset nearly 35,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. In addition, it is projected to create about 53,000 Renewable Energy Certificates, which will support corporate consumers looking to meet their sustainability targets through recognized clean-energy credits.

This development further strengthens the company’s presence in Malaysia’s fast-growing utility-scale solar market. With increasing demand for renewable energy and more companies adopting clean-energy procurement strategies, the contract provides stronger visibility into multi-year revenue opportunities for Founder Group. It also demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver complex solar projects under national programmes such as the CGPP.

Looking ahead, the company plans to pursue new opportunities through upcoming solar initiatives such as LSS5, LSS5+, the Corporate Renewable Energy Sourcing Scheme and other regional solar tenders. These programmes offer significant potential for expansion, and the company views the new contract as a milestone that supports the ongoing growth of its EPCC order book and enhances its competitive positioning.
