Solis showcased its latest residential and commercial energy storage solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026, highlighting the growing momentum behind battery retrofits and AI-powered energy management across the European solar market.
The company said discussions with installers, distributors, wholesalers, and project developers throughout the exhibition pointed to a significant shift in market demand. With Europe now home to a vast installed base of rooftop solar systems, demand is increasingly focused on adding battery storage to existing photovoltaic (PV) installations to improve self-consumption, reduce exposure to fluctuating electricity prices, and strengthen energy independence.
For many residential customers, the conversation has moved beyond adopting solar to integrating storage in a cost-effective and future-ready manner. A similar trend is emerging across the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector, where businesses are exploring battery storage to optimize energy consumption, reduce peak demand charges, and enhance resilience amid growing grid uncertainty.
To address these evolving requirements, Solis presented a portfolio of residential and C&I storage solutions designed to simplify retrofit installations, support flexible system configurations, and enable faster deployment.
Among the key highlights was FlexAIO, Solis’ newly launched all-in-one residential energy storage platform. Featuring an integrated stacked design, intelligent energy optimization, and simplified installation, the solution attracted considerable interest from visitors seeking practical retrofit options for existing residential solar systems with minimal installation complexity.
Alongside its residential offering, Solis also demonstrated storage technologies tailored for commercial and industrial applications, aimed at helping businesses gain greater control over energy usage while maximizing the value of on-site renewable generation.
Artificial intelligence also emerged as a central theme throughout the exhibition. Visitors showed strong interest in Solis AI, particularly its capability to intelligently manage battery charging and discharging, respond to time-of-use electricity tariffs where available, and automatically maximize self-consumption.
As electricity markets continue to evolve, intelligent energy management is becoming an increasingly important consideration alongside hardware performance. Solis noted that customers are now looking for integrated energy ecosystems capable of adapting to changing tariffs, evolving consumption patterns, and future energy requirements.
The company’s long-term approach also received positive endorsement from industry partners. During the exhibition, the co-founder of a European wholesaler that has partnered with Solis for more than 12 years commented “We’ve been working with Solis for more than 12 years. One of the main reasons from the beginning is that Solis manufactures everything in-house. They don’t rely on a pieced-together production model—all the circuits and boards are made by Solis themselves. They are also very strong on R&D, and the team is always coming up with new solutions.”
Beyond technology demonstrations, the exhibition generated strong commercial momentum for Solis across several European markets. According to the company, discussions around distributor expansion, regional partnerships, and project collaboration progressed into multiple business opportunities, supporting its long-term growth strategy across Europe.
