Norwegian behind-the-meter energy firm Otovo ASA has announced a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) to acquire Ewa Beach-based PV Hawaii.
The company has also agreed to acquire Norwegian firm Mr. Elektro, with the two deals coming at a combined price tag of $4.6 million.
Once complete, the acquisitions will further extend Otovo’s proprietary behind-the-meter service platform, the company says. Otovo representatives say the company will specifically bring its Endurance-brand AI platform to PV Hawaii. Not only will this add a 17th state to the Nordic firm’s reach in the U.S., but it brings a licensed and OSHA compliant field crew to Oahu, a region that was previously a blind spot for the company.
“PV Hawaii and Mr. Elektro bring licensed, experienced local teams that strengthen how we serve customers, and they extend our platform into Hawaii for the first time while deepening our reach across Norway and Sweden,” says John Berger, CEO of Otovo. “These acquisitions come with strong leaders that we can integrate into the management team.
Founded in 2016, PV Hawaii provides solar repair, as well as warranty and inspection services across Oahu. The company offers panel cleaning for residential and commercial customers, and is certified across a group of ten major solar equipment brands.
“Leveraging our powerful Endurance AI platform, we are continuing our successful plug-and-play acquisition strategy that has helped us create the world’s leading provider of behind-the-meter energy services for homes and businesses,” Berger adds.
Making moves around the globe
PV Hawaii and Mr. Elektro are Otovo’s ninth and tenth announced transactions since the tail end of 2025, the company says. Both will see integration onto the Endurance platform through a six-member team over the course of approximately three weeks.
Otovo expects its integration of its Endurance platform into all of these transactions to not only provide faster customer service, but enable synergies across the firm’s footprint. The platform will automate intake, dispatch, scheduling and supply chain processes through a singular portal, officials say.
The company’s other recent acquisition, Mr. Elektro, will allow it to extend the platform further into solar. Additionally, the company’s EV charging focus will bring Otovo into a new market in its native Norway.
Otovo’s overall footprint now spans 17 U.S. states, as well as 15 different markets across Europe. The company’s platform compromises field services, as well as logistics warehouses, AI-based inventory management, and dispatch and technical capabilities available around the clock.
