SJVN Limited has reported a significant increase in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, supported by higher revenues and regulatory tariff adjustments. The company announced its standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026, following approval by its Board of Directors at a meeting held on October 30, 2026, in New Delhi.

On a consolidated basis, SJVN reported revenue from operations of ₹2,244.32 crore and a quarterly net profit of ₹657.72 crore. The financial results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board. Statutory auditors Charanjit Singh and Associates conducted a limited review of the financial statements.

The company’s quarterly revenue included ₹242.59 crore relating to earlier years, recognized following the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (CERC) provisional tariff order for the 2024–29 period for the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station. Additionally, consolidated revenue included ₹40.42 crore pertaining to earlier periods following a CERC order allowing an interim tariff for the Buxar Thermal Power Project, operated by its wholly owned subsidiary, SJVN Thermal Private Limited.

During the meeting, the Board also granted in-principle approval for the proposed merger of SJVN Thermal Private Limited with SJVN Limited, subject to approvals from the Government of India and other regulatory authorities.

Meanwhile, SJVN classified assets worth ₹738.52 crore and liabilities of ₹0.11 crore associated with the 3,097 MW Etalin Hydro Electric Project as a disposal group held for sale following the Ministry of Power’s decision to reassign the project to NHPC Limited. Survey and investigation activities for the Devasari Hydro Electric Project in Uttarakhand also remain suspended following ministry directions, with cumulative expenditure reaching ₹251.50 crore.

The company is also addressing administrative and legal matters concerning the Luhri Stage-I, Sunni Dam and Dhaulasidh hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh. Despite ongoing discussions over implementation agreements, SJVN continues project-related activities to prevent cost overruns.

As of September 30, 2026, SJVN reported paid-up equity share capital of ₹3,929.80 crore and standalone net worth of ₹15,553.85 crore.
