Paonia, CO., May 27, 2025 — Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company (Greenbacker) and Solar Energy International (SEI) announced today their partnership to expand solar education opportunities and strengthen workforce development initiatives in the renewable energy sector. The collaboration, aims to enhance curriculum resources, increase educational access for veterans, and support youth engagement through SEI’s Solar in the Schools program.

The partnership will focus on three key initiatives: curriculum development to ensure training materials remain at the forefront of industry standards, Veterans Scholarship program to support military veterans transitioning to careers in renewable energy, SEI’s Solar in the Schools programming, introducing younger generations to solar energy concepts and career possibilities. In support these efforts, experienced clean energy professionals across the Greenbacker organization also volunteer their expertise and resources to provide SEI with curricula-level review, a cost that would otherwise have to be factored into the program’s budget.
