The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia has formalized a strategic partnership with PETRONAS Technical Training Sdn. Bhd. (PTTSB) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at strengthening human capital development in the sustainable energy sector.
The MoU exchange took place during the Energy Asia event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and was officiated by Ts. Steve Anthony Lojuntin, Director of SEDA’s Technical Development and Facilitation Division. Representing PTTSB was En. Azhar Ahmad, Acting Chief Executive Officer. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Koh Keng Sen, Chief Operating Officer of SEDA Malaysia, and En. Ruslan, Senior Vice President of Human Resource Management, PETRONAS Group.
The collaboration will focus on enhancing technical competency training—particularly for qualified persons (QPs) in the solar energy field—marking a significant step toward supporting Malaysia’s renewable energy transition through skilled workforce development.
The initiative is expected to accelerate capacity-building efforts in the solar sector, fostering a new generation of certified professionals equipped to meet the country’s sustainable energy goals.
