ACME Solar has announced the appointment of Mr. K.R. Thiyagarajan as President – EPC, entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing project execution for all renewable energy developments. He will drive execution excellence, cost optimization, and technology integration as the company accelerates toward its target of achieving 10 GW of operational contracted capacity by 2030. He has also been designated as a Senior Management Personnel at ACME Solar.

Mr. Thiyagarajan brings more than 35 years of experience in the power sector, with expertise spanning solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EHV transmission and distribution, and thermal power. He has led major renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning and has delivered multi-gigawatt portfolios across India.

His previous leadership roles include senior positions at Reliance Industries (New Energy), Tata Power Solar, Avaada Power, and Welspun Energy, where he worked across project and contract management, techno-commercial operations, tendering, statutory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and the development of high-performance teams.

Mr. Thiyagarajan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (1989) from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Bharathiar University, and an MBA (2011) from IMT Ghaziabad.
