Leading renewable energy provider First Gen Corporation has signed an agreement to supply geothermal power to two major properties—Parkway Corporate Center and Bristol at Parkway Place—supporting their sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.

Both properties are located in Filinvest City, Muntinlupa, and are managed by Pro-Excel Property Managers, Inc..

Representatives from First Gen, Pro-Excel, Parkway Corporate Center Condominium Corporation, and Bristol Tower Condominium Corporation signed a supply agreement on February 19, 2026, for the direct delivery of 1,100 kilowatts (kW) of geothermal energy. The renewable electricity will power common facilities in the two properties, including lighting systems, elevators, water pumps, security cameras, air-conditioning systems, and fire detection infrastructure.

The geothermal power will be sourced from the Bacon-Manito Geothermal Power Plant, commonly known as the Bac-Man facility, which spans the provinces of Albay and Sorsogon.

Commenting on the partnership, Michelle B. Lazatin said the collaboration strengthens the properties’ long-term energy strategy while supporting cost efficiency and sustainable building operations through the use of reliable renewable energy.

The Bristol Tower is a 38-storey premium residential development by Filigree, comprising 345 residential units and located along Parkway Avenue near Festival Mall and Parkway Corporate Center.

Meanwhile, Parkway Corporate Center is a 32-storey office building recognized for its sustainability credentials. It holds a v4 Core and Shell certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), making it the first office project in the Philippines to achieve certification under the latest version of the global green building rating system.

According to Arlene Sy Soriano, increasing geothermal capacity in the market will enable more LEED-certified and green buildings to transition to 24/7 renewable energy, helping meet rising electricity demand while maintaining a low carbon footprint. She also encouraged more property developers and managers to explore programs that optimize and aggregate electricity consumption.

Beyond geothermal energy, First Gen’s renewable portfolio includes hydropower, solar, and wind energy, with a combined renewable capacity of 1,700 megawatts (MW). To support grid stability and address renewable intermittency, the company also holds a 40% stake in four gas-fired power plants with a total capacity of 2,017 MW, developed in partnership with Prime Infrastructure Capital, Inc..

The agreement underscores the growing adoption of renewable energy solutions in commercial and residential developments as building operators seek to reduce carbon emissions and improve long-term energy sustainability.
