Genus Power , a leading provider of end-to-end energy measurement solutions, has achieved a significant milestone in India’s smart metering rollout by deploying 1 crore smart meters under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) across major DISCOMs. This milestone spans nine states, highlighting Genus Power’s robust pan-India execution capabilities and its pivotal role in advancing large-scale DISCOM reforms.

To strengthen its manufacturing capacity, the company recently inaugurated a new integrated facility at Kotputli, complementing its existing plants in Jaipur, Haridwar, and Guwahati. Leveraging world-class manufacturing and R&D capabilities, Genus has produced high-quality, reliable smart meters, supporting an additional 1.5 crore meter deployments through other AMISPs and utility partners.

With 2.5 crore smart meters operational nationwide—out of nearly 5.62 crore meters deployed across India—Genus Power has solidified its leadership position as the country’s most trusted smart metering technology provider. The company’s integrated expertise in design, manufacturing, communication technologies, and system reliability is enabling enhanced consumer experiences, including accurate billing, real-time consumption visibility, faster grievance resolution, and improved transparency.
