Georgia Power, the state’s largest electric utility serving 2.8 million customers, has appointed Audrey King as Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and President & CEO of the Georgia Power Foundation. The Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and the third-largest corporate giving foundation in Georgia, supported over 400 organizations statewide in 2024. In her new role, King will oversee the company’s efforts in corporate responsibility, philanthropy, community engagement, and volunteerism, with a focus on education, environmental stewardship, and empowering communities across Georgia.

With over 30 years of experience at Georgia Power, King began her career in 1991 as a customer service representative in Macon. She has since held leadership roles across Customer Service, Sales, Distribution, and External Affairs. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Region External Affairs, where she led a statewide team of region executives and area managers.

Beyond her corporate career, King is a seasoned civic and nonprofit leader. Her board service includes leadership roles with the State Housing Trust Fund for the Homeless, Department of Community Affairs, Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Union Mission Inc., Savannah Technical College, and others. She is also a graduate of Leadership Lowndes, Leadership Savannah, and Leadership Georgia. King holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Troy University.

Kim Greene, chairman, president and CEO of Georgia Power, said in a statement, “Audrey embodies our commitment to being a Citizen Wherever We Serve and throughout her career has demonstrated her personal passion for organizations that support our neighbors and improve overall quality of life in Georgia. We know we have a responsibility, and privilege, to make communities better because we are here. I know Audrey appreciates that and will do a tremendous job leading our corporate responsibility efforts.”

Green stated, “Georgia is experiencing extraordinary growth from the mountains to the coast, and we’re investing to continue to reliably meet the energy needs of our customers. Cleve has been instrumental in developing and implementing our Power Delivery strategy. As we continue to ensure we bring the benefits of future growth to local communities and build new power lines and energy infrastructure, his knowledge of our business and longstanding connections in communities across our state will be key to helping us provide exceptional service for customers.”

Succeeding King in her previous role, Cleve Fann has been named Senior Vice President of Region External Affairs. In this position, Fann will lead Georgia Power’s team of region executives, advancing strategic planning, workforce initiatives, and local community engagement across the state. Fann currently oversees strategy and capital program execution in Power Delivery, including Georgia Power’s Grid Investment Program — a multi-year initiative aimed at enhancing service reliability and community resilience.

Since joining the company as a co-op student in 2000, he has held leadership positions in Engineering, Operations, and Labor Relations, serving in various Georgia regions including Atlanta, Columbus, and Augusta. Fann holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University. He serves on the boards of the College Football Hall of Fame and Georgia Tech’s College of Electrical and Computer Engineering. A registered professional engineer in Georgia, Fann is also a graduate of Leadership Columbus and Leadership Augusta.
