Infrastructure major KEC International, a subsidiary of RPG Enterprises, has secured a significant international contract for the design, supply, and installation of 380 kV overhead transmission lines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The development marks a strategic expansion of the company’s operations in the Middle East.
The Saudi Arabia contract is part of a wider set of new orders collectively valued at Rs 22 billion (approximately $258.7 million), which span KEC’s diverse business verticals. The company, which operates in over 110 countries, is engaged in power transmission and distribution, civil, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables.
In addition to the Middle East deal, KEC has also secured its second international order for terminal station works in Africa, further strengthening its presence on the continent. The company is already executing a pipeline laying project in the region.
The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business also reported fresh orders from the Americas for the supply of towers, hardware, and poles. In India and other global locations, new cable project orders have been added to the portfolio. Notably, SAE Towers, KEC’s wholly owned subsidiary, has won a significant tower supply contract in Mexico, reflecting growth in the North American T&D market.
Commenting on the development, Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International, said, “We are delighted by the order wins secured across businesses, especially on the international front. The large order wins in Saudi Arabia have further strengthened our international T&D order book. These wins reaffirm the MENA region’s strategic importance as a key growth driver for us.”
With the latest deals, KEC International’s year-to-date (YTD) order intake now stands at over Rs 42 billion ($492 million), representing a 40% increase compared to the same period last year.
The announcement comes amid increased infrastructure investments across the MENA and African regions, where power transmission and distribution needs are expanding rapidly. KEC’s continued success in securing large-scale international projects reinforces its position as a global EPC player in critical infrastructure sectors.
