India’s KPI Green Energy Ltd, the solar and hybrid energy arm of KP Group, has received authorisation to connect 32.4 MW of photovoltaic (PV) and hybrid power projects to the national grid, the company said on Thursday.

The approved capacity includes projects developed on behalf of KPI Green’s clients as well as select subsidiaries. However, the company did not disclose further details regarding the individual project locations or configurations.

Headquartered in Gujarat, KPI Green Energy is engaged in the development, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance of solar and hybrid power plants across India. The company operates both as an independent power producer (IPP) and as a solution provider for captive power producers.

KPI Green’s largest ongoing development is the 895-MWp Khavda solar park in the Kutch district of Gujarat, which remains under construction.

The latest grid connectivity approvals align with KP Group’s broader renewable energy strategy, as the parent company targets more than 10 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030.
