On May 15, 2025, LEAPTING Technology (hereinafter referred to as “LEAPTING”) and Larsen & Toubro (hereinafter referred to as “L&T”), a prominent infrastructure enterprise in India, formally entered into a cooperation agreement at L&T’s headquarters in Saudi Arabia. Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, LEAPTING will supply L&T with multiple Automatic Navigation PV Module Mounting Robots (hereinafter referred to as “MMR”) to support their photovoltaic module installation projects across the Middle East region. This collaboration signifies the inaugural introduction of intelligent photovoltaic module installation technology into the Middle East market, marking a significant milestone following LEAPTING’s successful completion of its first commercial project in Australia. During the signing ceremony, Mr. Vincent Liu, Overseas Sales Director of LEAPTING, and senior management representatives from L&T’s Middle East operations jointly attended and witnessed this landmark event.
The construction of infrastructure for ground-based power plants encounters a multitude of challenges
According to this agreement, the LEAPTING Automatic Navigation PV Module Mounting Robots will simultaneously undertake intelligent installation tasks for a total of 3.5 GW ground-mounted solar power plants. Multiple robots will concurrently perform intelligent installation operations at two infrastructure sites within the power plant. The power plant is located in the Saudi Arabian region, spanning an area of tens of millions of square meters, and boasts exceptionally abundant solar resources.
However, due to its remote location, the project faces significant challenges, including a scarcity of human resources and an extreme working environment with temperatures reaching up to 50℃. These factors have notably impacted the project’s construction timeline. In this context, leveraging technological innovation to enhance the efficiency of infrastructure construction and reduce costs has become a critical issue that the project owner urgently needs to address.
Dedicated to providing comprehensive unmanned intelligent robot solutions that encompass the full life cycle of photovoltaic power plants

Since the successful completion of its first commercial project in the Australian market during the first quarter of 2025, the LEAPTING MMR has exhibited exceptional performance characterized by rapid installation speeds, high precision, and remarkable stability. Compared to traditional manual operations, it has achieved a 3- to 5-fold increase in efficiency while reducing the overall construction period by 25%. Furthermore, the robot has ensured zero damage to both modules and personnel, demonstrating highly reliable and safe operational capabilities. This has garnered widespread recognition from clients and drawn significant attention from global customers and industry media alike.

Based on these achievements, L&T, a prominent infrastructure enterprise in India and one of the leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors currently operating in the Middle East photovoltaic energy market, has entered into a collaboration with LEAPTING. Both parties aim to introduce the MMR to achieve intelligent installation of photovoltaic power plant modules in the Middle East market, thereby establishing a new benchmark for the application of intelligent installation technology in this region. To date, the robot has successfully completed all testing and packaging procedures at the LEAPTING factory in Huzhou and is scheduled for shipment to the project site in Saudi Arabia in mid-May. The plan is to complete the intelligent installation of hundreds of thousands of photovoltaic modules within six months.
Innovating Intelligent Installation Solutions for Middle Eastern Power Plant
The L&T management stated: “We are firmly convinced that this collaboration between L&T and LEAPTING in Saudi Arabia represents another significant milestone. Leveraging its groundbreaking technological advantages, we will fundamentally transform the existing module installation model. This innovative approach, driven by the core objectives of enhancing efficiency and reducing costs, will provide robust support for Saudi Arabia’s accelerated achievement of its 2030 clean energy targets. We have full confidence in the performance of the MMR in the Middle East market.”
As Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Program enters a critical phase, LEAPTING, as a provider of intelligent robot solutions dedicated to the entire lifecycle of photovoltaic power stations, is actively contributing to the global green energy revolution. Moving forward, LEAPTING will leverage its deep technological expertise and extensive project experience to accelerate its internationalization process, maintain close collaboration with clients, and provide intelligent support for the construction of a globally sustainable clean energy system.
