Masdar has signed a project framework agreement to develop a 200MW solar photovoltaic (PV) facility in the Kyrgyz Republic, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion across Central Asia.

The agreement was formalized during the World Governments Summit in Dubai, with the presence of H.E. Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; and H.E. Taalaibek Ibraev, Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The development underscores Masdar’s ongoing commitment to advancing renewable energy in Kyrgyzstan, supporting the country’s clean energy objectives while improving energy access and security for communities across the region.

Masdar acknowledged the efforts of its team, led by Abdulla Zayed and Maryam Al Mazrouei, for driving the company’s ambitious growth strategy in Central Asia.
