The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced an organizational realignment intended to strengthen the agency’s capacity to implement President Donald Trump’s agenda aimed at reinforcing American energy dominance. The restructuring is designed to support the Administration’s priorities of expanding domestic energy production, advancing scientific and technological innovation, and maintaining the safety and readiness of the nation’s nuclear weapons stockpile.
According to the DOE, the changes are expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve the Department’s ability to execute its core mission.
U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright stated that the realignment reflects the Administration’s focus on promoting cost-effective energy policies and improving stewardship of federal resources.
“Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, the Energy Department is aligning its operations to restore commonsense to energy policy, lower costs for American families and businesses, and ensure the responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars,” Wright said. “These changes will help us better execute the DOE mission of delivering affordable, reliable, and secure American energy for the American people.”
