ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced the commissioning of Phase-II of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) component of its Fully Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Rajasthan.

The newly commissioned phase adds 52.32 MW/209.28 MWh of battery storage capacity to the 300 MW/1,200 MWh FDRE project being developed at Kelan Village in Chhatargarh Tehsil, Bikaner district. The Phase-II commissioning was completed on September 17, 2026, while the Commercial Operation Date (COD) is scheduled for September 19, 2026.

With this addition, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar, has increased its total commissioned BESS capacity to 105.95 MW/423.80 MWh.

The project is supported by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with SJVN Limited and long-term project financing from REC. The FDRE project combines renewable power generation with battery storage to provide dispatchable electricity as required under the power supply arrangement.

ACME Solar said it expects to commission the remaining BESS capacity associated with the project by the third quarter of the current financial year. Once fully commissioned, the project is expected to provide 300 MW of renewable generation capacity backed by 1,200 MWh of energy storage, strengthening the company’s presence in India’s growing renewable energy and energy storage market.
