Atlanta Electricals Limited, a leading manufacturer of power transformers, has secured a major order worth approximately ₹285.15 crore from Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) for the supply of high-capacity power transformers.
According to the Letter of Award issued by PSTCL, the contract covers the supply of 23 units of 160 MVA, 220/66 kV Power Transformers equipped with Nitrogen Injection Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Systems (NIFPES), along with optional spares. The total order value includes applicable taxes.
Commenting on the development, Niral Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of Atlanta Electricals Limited, said the order reflects the continued confidence of PSTCL in the company’s ability to execute large-scale transformer projects. He noted that Atlanta Electricals has consistently met the technical and operational requirements of state utilities and that the new contract will further strengthen the company’s presence in Punjab while supporting capacity utilization across its manufacturing facilities.
Atlanta Electricals has maintained a business relationship with PSTCL since 2018. During this period, the company has supplied nearly 200 transformers with an aggregate installed capacity of approximately 5,000 MVA across Punjab.
The latest order reinforces Atlanta Electricals’ position in a strategically important market and highlights its capability to deliver technologically advanced power transmission equipment to leading state-owned utilities, supporting the ongoing modernization and expansion of India’s power infrastructure.
