Polish mounting system provider Baks has introduced its DP-DTH…-WZ mounting system for flat-roof photovoltaic installations.
The company said the system is designed to combine fast installation, ballast-based stability, and flexible tilt angles within a single modular platform. “The system allows module inclination at 10°, 15°, or 20°, enabling installers to optimize energy yield depending on roof geometry, shading conditions, and regional irradiation without switching between different product families,” a spokesperson from the company told pv magazine.
The structure is intended for flat commercial and industrial roofs and supports landscape-oriented module layouts with a wide range of standard PV module dimensions. Its ballast-based concept reportedly eliminates the need for roof penetration, reducing installation risk on waterproof membranes and making it suitable for bitumen and membrane roofing systems. Concrete ballast blocks are placed in dedicated trays or mounting channels, allowing flexible weight distribution depending on wind load requirements and roof load constraints.
Baks said it focused the design on reducing component count and simplifying on-site assembly. Predefined connection points and modular row configurations help shorten installation time and streamline logistics for EPC contractors, according to the manufacturer. The system uses corrosion-resistant materials, including Magnelis-coated steel, aluminum elements, and stainless-steel fasteners, which the company says ensure durability in demanding outdoor environments.
Electrical continuity is integrated through dedicated contact points between modules and the mounting structure, reducing the need for additional grounding components in many configurations.
The DP-DTH…-WZ is part of a broader Baks flat-roof portfolio that includes anchored and bonded variants, enabling standardized procurement across different project types.
Positioned for commercial and industrial rooftop PV applications, the system comes with a 10-year warranty on the structure under standard installation conditions.
