Janta Power has deployed its patented three-dimensional solar tower energy systems at Fan Festival sites in Dallas and Houston, demonstrating the rapid deployment of renewable energy infrastructure to support one of the world’s largest sporting events.
The installations featured Janta’s JP5K solar towers integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS), providing clean, quiet, and on-site electricity for event operations. According to the company, the systems were fully deployed and operational within days, generating up to 275 kWh of electricity per day to power infrastructure serving thousands of visitors throughout the Fan Festivals.
The Dallas installation at Fair Park comprised four JP5K solar towers, each integrated with a 28 kWh battery energy storage system, serving as a temporary power solution for the event. In Houston, the solar tower and associated BESS installed in the East Downtown district will remain as a permanent community asset, providing electricity for public amenities over an expected 25-year operational lifespan.
Janta Power stated that its vertical solar tower technology generates approximately 50% more energy than conventional flat-panel solar systems while using one-third of the land area. The towers incorporate a stacked vertical design with integrated solar tracking to capture low-angle morning and evening sunlight, improving energy generation throughout the day.
Mohammed Njie, Founder and CEO of Janta Power, said the deployment demonstrates how renewable energy infrastructure can be installed rapidly without compromising reliability or performance, enabling clean power solutions for applications ranging from major events to airports, data centres, and local communities.
Skye Fabrizio, Sustainability Manager at C3 Presents, said the compact footprint, fast installation, and reliable operation of the solar towers make the technology well suited for live events and temporary installations where efficient on-site power is required.
The Fan Festival deployments also build on Janta Power’s broader commercial expansion. The company is currently participating in pilot projects with Munich International Airport, Aena, and Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) through the Airports for Innovation (A4I) initiative, supporting the adoption of clean energy solutions for critical infrastructure.
According to the company, the project reflects growing demand for rapidly deployable renewable energy systems as industries including aviation, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications seek flexible, low-carbon power solutions capable of operating in space-constrained environments.
