JCBL South, a JCBL Group company based in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, has successfully manufactured and delivered 1,000 20-foot CSC-certified containers to GE Vernova for deployment in renewable energy projects in the United States.
The order, developed entirely for export, represents one of the company’s largest international clean energy infrastructure manufacturing projects to date. The containers were produced for GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business and are designed to house Flex Inverter systems used in Hybrid Renewable Power Stations.
The Flex Inverter systems form a critical part of GE Vernova’s renewable energy infrastructure portfolio, supporting the integration and management of renewable power generation assets.
According to the company, the project was executed entirely in-house at its Oragadam manufacturing facility. The scope of work included design, fabrication, assembly, painting, testing, certification, and final dispatch of the units, all carried out in accordance with stringent international quality, safety, and performance standards.
To support large-scale production, JCBL South established a dedicated manufacturing line for the project. The company also implemented process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce rework while maintaining consistent quality across all units.
The project further contributed to workforce development, with employees receiving specialised training in sealant application and paint operations to ensure uniform quality and compliance with customer requirements.
Commenting on the achievement, Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director of JCBL Group, said the successful delivery demonstrates India’s growing capabilities as a global manufacturing hub for clean energy infrastructure. He noted that the project highlights the scale, quality, and process discipline Indian manufacturers can offer to international energy markets.
Sandip Chakroborty, Managing Director of JCBL South, stated that the project required the company to develop dedicated production systems, strengthen manufacturing processes, and build specialised workforce capabilities while executing at scale.
The delivery comes as global demand for renewable energy infrastructure continues to expand, positioning JCBL South as a manufacturing partner for critical clean energy equipment and supporting India’s broader ambition to become a key player in the global energy transition supply chain.
