Shenling, a Chinese manufacturer of climate control solutions, has launched a new series of all-in-one air-to-water heat pumps. Called the ThermaX R290 All-In-One Air-to-Water Heat Pump, the series features three models with rated heating capacities of 8.03 kW, 9.88 kW and 11.75 kW.
“The Shenling all-in-one heat pump redefines the traditional split-system concept by integrating the buffer tank, domestic hot water tank, pumps, valves, expansion vessels and intelligent controls into a single compact indoor unit, paired with an outdoor unit that contains the complete refrigerant system,” the company said in a statement.
“This integrated design is especially suited for compact European homes, apartments, and renovation projects in older buildings, where installation space and ease of setup are critical considerations.”
All heat pumps in the series utilize environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant. At an outdoor temperature of 7 C and a water supply temperature of 35 C, the system has a coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.42 to 5.70, depending on the model.
The COP ranges from 3.95 to 5.42 at 2 C and from 2.83 to 4.00 at -7 C. With water heated to 45 C, it has a COP of 3.43 to 4.60, falling to 3.08 to 4.06 at a water temperature of 55 C. In domestic hot-water operation, heating water from 15 C to 55 C at an ambient temperature of 20 C, the system achieves a COP of 4.26 to 4.52, depending on the model.
The system’s indoor hydraulic module measures 597 × 620 × 2,110 mm, while the outdoor unit measures 1,257 × 440 × 892 mm. It weighs between 112 kg to 126.5 kg, depending on the module.
“Its space-saving configuration significantly reduces installation requirements while simplifying the entire commissioning process and enhancing overall user convenience,” the company added.
