Surat based Sunora Solar – India’s premium solar manufacturing company has entered into a long-term purchase agreement with Bharat Enterprise from Hyderabad to supply its next-generation TOPCon G12R solar modules. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in India’s renewable energy journey, with an installed capacity target of 30 MW this year alone. The total project investment exceeds ₹100 crore, focused entirely on the Hyderabad region.

This project will utilize Sunora Solar’s high-efficiency G12R modules, featuring N-type TOPCon technology with more than 23% efficiency and a lifespan of up to 30 years. The modules will be manufactured at Sunora’s advanced Kosamba, Gujarat facility, which is part of the company’s vertically integrated 3 GW module expansion plan. These panels enable higher power output using the same surface area, reducing the Balance of System (BOS) costs and ensuring better returns for project developers and farmers under government-backed programs like PM Kusum Yojana.

The PM Kusum (Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) Yojana, launched by the Government of India, aims to empower farmers by promoting decentralized solar power production. It provides financial support and grid connectivity for solar projects, allowing farmers to generate their own electricity and sell surplus power back to the grid – creating both economic and energy independence in rural India.

This Hyderabad solar project not only advances the state’s clean energy goals but also delivers broader environmental and social benefits – from reducing carbon emissions and conserving water resources to generating employment and improving local livelihoods. Together, Sunora Solar and Bharat Enterprise are contributing to India’s vision of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, powering a greener and more sustainable future for all.
