Nagpur Metro Launches Inter-Track Solar Project
Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation has commissioned India’s first metro-based inter-track solar project at Hingna Depot in Nagpur. The 50-kWp solar PV system uses unused space between live metro tracks and is expected to generate nearly 70,000 units annually, reducing carbon emissions by around 65 tonnes each year.
POWERGRID Approves ₹4,000 Crore SBI Loan

NEEPCO has invited bids for Stage-II rooftop solar deployment under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana across Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura. The tender targets residential rooftop solar systems and is restricted to technically qualified channel partners empanelled during the first stage of the program.
ACME Solar Expands Rajasthan BESS Capacity
ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 35.714 MW/160.512 MWh battery energy storage capacity at its Rajasthan project. Shakti Pumps Bags ₹155.24 Crore Order
Shakti Pumps has received a ₹155.24 crore order from MSEDCL for 6,580 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The contract includes 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP pumps and covers design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning for solar-powered irrigation.
