Virto.MAX Release Notes: July 2026

August 31, 2026 joeyxweber No Comments

The latest Virto.MAX release introduces powerful new capabilities designed to help solar professionals design projects faster, collaborate more effectively, and make smarter energy decisions.

From Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sizing and solar carport design to simplified financial modelling, consumption analysis, and shareable 3D models, this update focuses on streamlining every stage of the solar project workflow.

Here’s what’s new.

BESS Sizing & Placement

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) support is now available in Virto,MAX for peak load shaving scenarios.

Users can now:

Calculate recommended battery size
Determine the required charging power
Place batteries directly within a project
Include battery specifications in project documentation for easy stakeholder review

This allows engineers and project developers to evaluate battery storage alongside PV system design, helping customers reduce peak electricity demand and optimize energy costs.

CARPORT SYSTEM DESIGN

Virto.MAX now supports complete solar carport design.

Users can now create single-sided and double-sided carport systems, complete with visualized structural components including:

  • Piles
  • Sheets

Carport details are automatically included in the project report, making it easier to communicate complete system designs with customers, engineering teams, and stakeholders.

RENEWED VIRTO BRANDING

We’ve refreshed Virto.MAX with our renewed branding to create a cleaner and more modern experience. The update includes:

  • Updated Virto color pallete
  • Rounded interface elements
  • Improved header styling
  • Revised logo

While functionality remains familiar, the refreshed interface improves usability and creates a more consistent experience across the platform.

SIMPLIFIED CAPEX INPUT FOR FINANCIAL MODELLING

Creating financial models is now quicker than ever.

Instead of entering detailed cost components from the start, users can now estimate project costs using an average CAPEX per kWp.

Need more control? The detailed cost breakdown is still available whenever advanced financial modelling is required This flexible approach speeds up common workflows while maintaining the accuracy needed for larger or more complex projects.

CONSUMPTION DATA UPLOAD

Virto.MAX now allows users to upload electricity consumption data alongside solar production data. This makes it possible to analyze production and consumption together in one workflow, providing insights into clear energy performance.

New reporting includes:

  • Combined energy metrics
  • Daily and yearly production and consumption charts
  • Automatic inclusion in project reports

The first release supports a selection of consumption file formats. If your data uses another format, simply use the provided template to prepare and upload your files.

ROOF REMODELLING

Iterating on building designs is now significantly easier.

Users can now:

  • Reshape flat roofs while solar panels remain in place
  • Move roofs without removing installed panels
  • Adjust building height even after inverter placement

These improvements reduce repetitive work and make it much faster to refine project layouts as design evolve.

SHAREABLE 3D MODEL LINKS

Sharing project designs has become even easier. Users can now generate a shareable 3D model link directly from the project results screen. Simply click ‘Share’ next to the Export button to:

  • Generate a secure share link
  • Add a custom title
  • Choose how long the link remains active

Customers and stakeholders can review interactive 3D designs without needing direct access to the project, making collaboration, feedback, and decision-making faster.

Helping Solar Teams Move Faster

Every feature in Virto.MAX is designed around one goal: helping solar professionals reduce manual work, evaluate projects faster, and make better decisions earlier in the development process.

Whether you’re assessing battery storage, designing solar carports, analyzing customer consumption, or sharing interactive 3D project proposals, Virto.MAX gives your team the tools to move from concept to investment-ready solar projects with greater confidence.

As the platform continues to evolve, we’re committed to delivering practical innovations that help EPCs, project developers, and engineering teams design smarter, collaborate better ,and accelerate the transition to clean energy.
